This collection of quotations from Lenin was prepared around 1975 by comrade Slim (Fred James) for the commission on the working class movement of the National Committee of the COUSML (a predecessor of the Marxist-Leninist Party, USA which continued the journal The Workers' Advocate). It was also used in 1986 as part of the National Study Program of the Marxist-Leninist Party, USA. Volume numbers in the text are to Lenin's Collected Works. In February 2020 I transcribed the typewriten original to a computer file and added to the text notes giving more precise references to where to find the extracts from the various works of Lenin, including links where available to the Marxist Internet Archive (although the translations used by comrade Slim didn't come from there). I also checked the wording of the extracts, making some minor corrections, which also differ slightly from the way they are given in the MIA translations.
